I love a good sweatshirt!  I might even squeal if I find a fab one.  I realized this when I started squealing this morning while online shopping.  I was on my favorite site: www.asos.com and found some really fab sweatshirts for fall.

Forget about drab sweats to be worn around the house.  These are cool and made to be dressed up and shown off.

Here are some of my picks from ASOS:

How vivid and beautiful is the print on this one?  The black color blocked sleeves just makes it stand out even more.  It takes a simple sweatshirt to a whole new level.

This is just cool.  The black/gray/white colorblocking + tiger print works.

Pairing it with camoflauge or another printed trouser would be a good look.

PANT SUIT, PLEASE

There are no words for how much I am loving the pant suit trend right now.  It's glam!  It's pulled together!  It's chic!

I work in the financial world so I really appreciate a good pant suit.  However, it's easy to lose interest in something you wear day to day.  You can't imagine my delight seeing the revamped looks from the F/W 2012 runway!  The prints, the textures, the rich, saturated colors are all to die for. 

Suits, in general, are a true investment and a reliable wardrobe staple.  I love the versatility of being able to break it up and infusing a jacket, a pant, or a skirt, with the rest of your pieces.

STYLISTA

Styling is my passion and I am thankful to have friends who let me dress them up as I like. ;)  One of my co-workers and I made it out to Armani Exchange today and I wanted to give her some new wardrobe ideas.  She's a student/professional looking to update her look.  Here's what I put together:

 

How beautiful is this faux leather mini dress for fall?  I love the fab wine color.  It was super flattering and hugged her curves, but the length and pleats of the skirt kept it lady-like. 



And for a suiting style:  I made a sopisticated, all black look with an beautiful peplum jacket and black trouser.  This jacket is so versatile, the options are endless.  It would look just as amazing paired with a bold colored skirt and opaque tights.
 

This shift dress was such a good find!  It had a black and white graphic print with a waist-tie that really pulled it together.  It's absolutely work appropriate with a blazer thrown over top or you could dress it down with some flats.

 

And lastly, we went for a more casual look.  Who doesn't love a good hoodie?  I paired this gray houndstooth one with skinny jeans, a lightweight knit trench, and heels with a pop of color.

SEEING POLKA DOTS

Anyone else notice the polka dot nail art seen on the Kate Spade fall runway?  I love the nail art trend and thought it was SPOT ON...

It grabbed my eye again on a recent shopping trip to Nordstroms.  I had to have my girlfriend try on the Kate Spade Maria dress and I thought it was such a sweet look.  How cute are the sleeves, though?  

 

 

 

INSPIRATION OTD

Thank you, Zara!  I came across this neutral outfit from their F/W 2012 collection and fell in love.  Zara is always amazing but this is exceptional.  What's best is each piece is under $100.  The embroidery, the detailing, the form, is dreamy.  Thank you for being my inspiration of the day! 

 

I GET DISTRACTED BY SHINY THINGS

I am a huge fan of all things that sparkle.  Whether that be apparel, shoes, accessories, or diamonds. ;)  I love to trendwatch but I always interpret what I like into my own style.  And sequins, my friends, NEVER lose my interest.

All year round they can be worked into ones wardrobe to give a look that extra something.  This summer, sequin knickershorts were all over from high street to high end.

COLORS, GALORE AT TOPSHOP

But color is what I really like to keep my shiny pieces versatile.  Save the pastels and brighter hues for spring & summer.   In colder months, whites, blacks, and darker hues coordinate best.

Let's not forget what we put on first! I LOVE my lingerie and honestly get super excited when I find a piece with shine. Traditionally, lingerie is most identified with lace or more chiffon like fabrics. But keep an eye out for different textures.  Have fun with it!
